5 Reasons Education Can and Should Change
Education can and should change because we have unprecedented access to vast amounts of Information. Because, in the past, education followed monolithic, strict religious and political infrastructures. Today that is not the case. Because our needs have changed from military, shelter, and food needs to higher-level needs like Java programming and Photoshop.  Because our traditional “pyramid” of knowledge has become a “network” of knowledge. And because, In the old days, most education was conducted in a very homogeneous environment, but now diversity is the rule and not the exception.

2 – In the past, education followed monolithic strict religious and political infrastructures. Today that is not the case. While there are still many education systems that follow a rigid religious and/or political structure, there are many others that don’t have to.

3 – Our basic needs have changed from basic literacy, military, math, and food needs to higher level needs like Java programming and Photoshop. 

4 – Our traditional “pyramid” of knowledge has become a “network” of knowledge.
